And fuck yeah! They oh sooo did it! They've won the World Cup, and they've done it playing damn good football!!!!
(and no, no LJcut for this, it's not THAT long)

We passed to the final thanks to Puyol, and the victory goal came from Iniesta, as a Barça fan and supporter I assure you I couldn't be more happy than that.
But that's not what made me cry. There was one image, one first image that brough tears to my eyes, because damn! I couldn't be more proud of my boys. And I said one first image because in the following celebrations it became pretty usual, but that first time... Oh man! That first time when Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez i Creus celebrated the world victory running around the field with La Senyera... Gods... I loved them so much just right then.

For all of us catalan people that have been supporting and enjoying this Spain NT I think it was the best present you guys could have give us. And of course! I don't forget that the rest of our guys wore it on while they celebrated in Madrid on Monday but... It's just that... that first time was... there are no words... Look at my  "OMG I can't believe it! I love you so much and I'm so proud of all of you" face. I stood still like that for a few minutes lol :)

I'm writing, and I usually I have the radio on, M-80, because I like revival. It's 7 pm, time for the last news, and one of the news was exactly this shit:

WTF!!! I hate that stupid git, I really do. Why can he just shut up?

Well, you can read the full thing over here: País Digital

It's the worst piece of shit I've ever read. And it's absolutely a lie. Half of my family are not catalanspeakers, my grandparents from my mother side are from Andalusia, my mother and my aunts are from Andalusia too. My grandparents, after 40 years living in Catalonia don't speak Catalan at all, they even can't understand it well enough, and they don't have any problem, they don't feel attacked or unwanted here.
Obviously if  you go to a small town in the more rural parts of Catalonia you can find people who are not used to speak too much Castilian. So what?
And maybe you can think that we try to impose our language in schools, well, I don't think so. We just try to protect our language from extinction, I don't think it's a crime.

I believe the problem is that some people usually forget that here in Catalonia we speaks Catalan, is our language, our history and heritage. And maybe we are part of Spain, and maybe we also can speak Castilian, but that doesn't matter. The point is that even if we are absolutely bilingual, let never forget that we are primarily Catalan speakers because there are Castilian speakers enough in the world and not so many of Catalan.

Sorry about that rant, it's just that it unnerves me. I have friends from foreign countries here in Catalonia that have learned both languages, Catalan and Castilian, and they don't complain, they are all right and understand the efforts of small nationalities to save their languages, so why can the people of Spain understand it as well? Why?
