The good news: I  don't have any virus, spy, whatever on Quito (my laptop/computer/pc...).
The very BAD NEW is that Quito's hard drive is dying.
So I have to buy a need one, because I need my computer, I really think that sometimes is the only think that stop me to pack my things and come back to Barcelona.

Anyway, I've already bought a new one, 120G for 49 pounds, it's going to be delivered at home on tuesday, I just hope that the hard drive I have now could wait till tuesday... but if not, a friend is going to let me use one of 40G for a few days... Good save the computer thecnic friends!!!

Sorry for your laptop. I know first hand how incredibly frustrating is that your very personal pc starts failing you. And even more in your case, where you really NEED (yes, with capital letters)it to do all kind of things. But at least the hard disk was all you needed, and that's easy to get (and not too expensive, comparatively speaking)

BTW, I'm doing a personal survey around all the people I know who have a laptop that has started failing. The medium rate for failing is between two years and two years and a half, at the moment. Would you mind telling me how long you've been using it on an almost daily basis so I can add you to my survey?

Ummmm... a ver creo que en septiembre hará dos años que lo tengo. Así que el disco duro me ha durado como año y medio. Pero los discos duros petan facilmente, el mío del pc de casa también petó al año y pico... Suele pasar si usas mucho el pc y le metes mucha mierda (programas inútiles, archivos, emule y bittorrent cada dia, etc)

Según Juanma, el que me ha instalado el nuevo disco duro, los discos duros tienen dos estados naturales: o estan muriendo o están ya muertos XDDD

De todos modos ahora ya funciona a la perfección^^
