Another perspective...

Well, at least the new layout of livejournal for the Easter days is better that the one they use for St. Valentin (not difficult, with all the pink and the hears it was just disgusting... What? I hate pink, I've hated pink all my live because as a child my family always made me wear pink clothes...)

But I thinks it's very interesting how different in Spain we live the Easter holidays (if you are a religious person, of course... That it's no my case, but that's not the point...)
In Spain is so serious ans sacred, with the processions, and all the representation of the Christ's Passion... Sometimes is a bit morbid, with the Christ statutes on the streets, and the people's taking them, and crying... (ok, that's more an andalusian thing, but a part of my family are from there...).
And here... I don't know. It's a religious festivity too for sure, but then there's that thing about white bunnies and chocolate eggs that take the seriousness off. It's funny^^

I haven't eaten any chocolate eggs or bunnies, but I've made a delicious chocolate cake (it's more a fondant, if you know what I mean, like a brownie...). And tomorrow I'm going to take to [livejournal.com profile] aviss home, although she's not all that crazy about chocolate, but her flatmate is (and me too^^).

Nice holidays for everybody!!!

Same to you! :D

For me, it's more of a 'let's do nothing' for four days.

But I wish I had a garden or something, to 'adopt' the chocolate eggs tradition... XD

Mmm, brownie! :))))

And about the garden and the eggs... I have a backgarden here in my new home at London (well, it's not really a garden... but it could be one if someone spent a litle time working on it), and I asure you that nobody was looking for chocoalte eggs, XDDD but I think that we are all from other countries, so not tipycal english people here^^

nice holidays!!

Well, in a city with so many people from different cultures as London, it sure must be interesting to see the different ways to live a religious holidays. Although what you say doesn't seem all that religious to me for the cristhian (do you spell it like this?) ones, I wonder if you'll know when there is a musulman festivity or a hindu one by the city's behaviour...

Mmmm... Fondant... Gaia made one of her fondant cakes too last weekend and it was as tasty as ever. I love chocolate, I don't think there's such a thing as too much chocolate! XDD

I really don't know... London is full of strange people, very strange people XDDD
And I'm not living on a part with too much indian or muslims people, so maybe I wont realize that it's some special day.

Yes, fondant is so great^^ And it wasn't so bad to be my first time, I think it was very good indeed^^

Hey!!
