Uuuoooohhh!! I'm so looking forward to watch it, I hope it is at least half as good of series as BSG re-imagined was. I don't remember that much of the plot original show (I remember the basics and playing as a kid to V's war between human and lizards -I was Diana LOL-) and I preferred that way so I would avoid the obvious comparison.
What I can already say is that I like this new look better, the eighties look was good at that time but now it give me the creeps, really (yeah, not a big fan of eighties clothes and look here)
